Agri Terra Orange Plantations: Better than Expected

Clients of Munich-based Agri Terra KG around the world are delighted. After all, there has been plenty of good news in recent weeks.

LA COLMENA, PARAGUAY, September 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "The result for 2018 was about 3% better than originally expected," says Carsten Pfau, CEO of the company. "The citrus trees planted in Paraguay at the La Colmena plantations are already over two-and-a-half meters (8 ft) high on average and are laden with fruit. Plenty of rain, sunshine and optimal climatic conditions have greatly favored the growth of trees and fruit in recent years," continues Pfau.

"The members of our team have been working in the industry for a long time, and their experience is the basis of our success," explains the Agri Terra CEO. Over fifty specialists from the partner company CitriPar are responsible for the planting locally.

The Agri Terra Group has moved up a few ranks on the list of the largest agricultural companies in Paraguay. It is among the top 1% of the largest cattle owners in the country, it is by now the third largest grower of citrus fruit, and the company has the country's single largest greenhouse complex under construction. "We want to continue to grow in this business, and we want to further expand our position as an investor in agriculture. We feel that especially in times of crises, economic and political uncertainties, agriculture offers the best prospects fort he future," says Carsten Pfau regarding the company's strategy.

Sustainability plays a major role for the company. "We have planted more than 250,000 trees in just over two years, which is pertinent to the current climate issue. We have focused more on organic quality in our greenhouses and actively encourage the bee population on and around our properties," says Carsten Pfau.

More good news from Agri Terra may well be expected soon.

About Agri Terra

The Agri Terra owners, German brothers Carsten and Michael Pfau, invest and conduct business in Paraguay since 1995. Successful real estate investors, the brothers shifted their focus towards agriculture over the years. Starting out with the purchase of farmland and small cattle investments, the brothers now manage under the Agri Terra umbrella large agro-projects all over Paraguay. The company is among the largest 1% of cattle owners (out of 142,000 total), and it operates the country's third largest orange plantation. Substantial investments in greenhouses (vegetable production for supermarkets) as well as other citrus plantations complete the portfolio. In addition, the group develops residential country clubs and invests in the field of landbanking.

Agri Terra only offers projects to investors if the company invests it's own funds into the project as well. Most of the times, Agri Terra is the single largest investor in a project.

Key executives in the company count with decades of experience in their respective fields of expertise. A combination of experience, expertise and dedication provides a solid base for the company's investments.

Headquartered in Munich, the Agri Terra Group is also registered in Austria, Panama, Paraguay and Hong Kong. In addition, the company counts with representatives for the US and Canada, Switzerland and Romania.
