SEG Measurement Announces Research Evaluation Service to Help Educational Publishers and Schools

    NEWTOWN, PA, August 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SEG Measurement (www.segmeasurement.com), a leading provider of educational research services for educational publishers and technology providers announced today that they have created a new SEG business unit, Research Review and Evaluation Services (RES).

The RES group will provide external, third-party reviews of effectiveness studies for educational publishers, technology providers and schools. RES will complement SEG's existing business unit conducting original, "from-scratch" effectiveness studies.

This move comes as SEG seeks new ways to assist educational publishers and technology providers meet the research requirements outlined by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and demands from school buyers for proof of effectiveness. A study conducted by KnowledgeQuest found that that more than 80% of educational buyers consider proof of effectiveness before buying a product or service.

"Our effectiveness research business has grown as organizations look to SEG for independent, third-party research to verify that their products truly improve educational outcomes," said Dr Scott Elliot President of SEG measurement. "While our clients typically ask SEG to complete third-party, effectiveness studies, many of our clients are interested in having SEG review and evaluate the quality of research conducted by them in house or by their customers. RES has been offered on a pilot basis since January 2019 and will be fully operational on September 2, 2019.
