MADISON HEIGHTS, MI, September 23, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Some of the brightest and best communication professionals, and their organizations will be recognized at this year's International Association of Business Communicator's Renaissance Awards and professional communicators celebration. It's Michigan's most sought-after and prestigious communications award; and it'll be given to some of the top practitioners in the field. The fun and interactive celebration will be from 6-9 p.m. October 17, 2019 at Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Michigan, 600 E. Lafayette, in Detroit, Michigan.
"Each year communicators get together to celebrate our profession and our work," said Pete Ternes, president of IABC Detroit. "We invite all communicators to join us as we reveal "who done it" best among Michigan's talented communication professionals."
Award recipients competed in four communication disciplines: Management, Research, Training/Education, and Skills. Each entry was reviewed by evaluators from other IABC chapters who are seasoned communications professionals familiar with the IABC seven-point global scale of excellence. Entries must fall within a threshold to qualify for an IABC Detroit Renaissance Award of Excellence or Award of Merit.
Also, at the event, Rich Homberg, president and CEO of Detroit Public Television, will be recognized as the 2019 IABC Detroit Communicator of the Year. This well-respected award is presented annually by IABC Detroit and acknowledges a leader who has demonstrated excellence in the communications field. We're more than honored to salute Mr. Homberg.
"This year's celebration will not only highlight and showcase some of Michigan's most outstanding communicators, but we've designed the event experience with live music, food, and an array of business professionals to connect and build relationships with", said Edward G.
