L.Lorraine Voltaire, a Nurse at the West Palm Beach VA Hospital is Making a Difference in her own Community by Promoting Health Awareness in her Native Language & in English via Social Media Platforms

Nurse Practitioner and Restorative Nurse Coordinator for veterans, L. Lorraine Voltaire, hosts the health awareness show – Lorraine Health Talk Show on Facebook and YouTube.

L. Lorraine Voltaire has again reiterated her goal of helping as many people as possible in Florida and other parts of the world to stay healthy as she hosts the new Lorraine Health Talk Show on different social media platforms. The move by L. Lorraine Voltaire will help to promote health awareness in several communities as long as members of the community can connect via Facebook, as the host she aims to help members of her community, the creole-speaking viewers, to lead a happy, healthy lifestyle.

One of the major challenges faced by millions of people across the globe is getting accurate and timely information about their health. Consequently, the ugly effects of different conditions often materials before being detected, making it more difficult and expensive to treat such conditions. While there are quite a number of platforms designed to provide health-related information to people, many such avenues do not meet the needs of users. This is particularly true to creole speaking communities, as there very few health resources that address the needs of this set of people. This is where Lorraine Voltaire is looking to change the narrative with her comprehensive health show that covers different aspects of health issues for creole speaking communities as well as English audiences.

The show will be aired every Thursday night at 9 pm on Facebook and YouTube, with the English version available once a month for the English audience. The show will feature different topics bordering on health, wellness, health promotion, and disease prevention, as Lorraine shares her wealth of experience and expertise with the audience.

Ms. Voltaire is a Nurse Coordinator at the Restorative program for the Veterans at the VA Hospital of WPB FL. Lorraine went back to school and graduated as a Nurse Practitioner in 2018 in order to pursue her dream as a provider to help and improve the health of those in need. Over the years, Ms. Voltaire has devoted most of her life to giving back to the community and has received several awards and recognition for her efforts. Some of the awards include The Executive Women in the Palm Beaches Foundation, Women's Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, The Haitian Roundtable 1804, and a host of others.
