Tarry, MD, FACS, is an experienced reconstructive urologist who diagnoses and treats patients at Chesapeake Urology Associates in Baltimore, Maryland. With over ten years' experience in the field of Urology, Dr. Tarry is dedicated to her profession and is passionate about helping others and sharing her expertise.
As a urologist, Dr. Tarry deals with surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract and the male reproductive organs. These conditions include urethral stricture disease, injuries to the ureter, surgical management of erectile dysfunction, robotic prostate cancer surgery, pelvic floor prolapse, kidney and bladder cancer, overactive bladder issues, incontinence and kidney stones. Her wide area of expertise covers reconstructive and robotic surgery, including urinary diversion, vaginal reconstruction and bladder augmentation.
Dr. Tarry graduated from West Virginia University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before obtaining her Doctorate of Medicine from West Virginia University. She then went on to complete an internship in general surgery and her residency in urology at West Virginia University Hospitals. Dr. Tarry then went on to complete her fellowship with the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons at The Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.
Dr. Tarry is also affiliated with the prestigious American College of Surgeons and Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Urologists as a Fellow, and with the American Urological Association as a Member.
Dr. Tarry has received many awards and grants for her outstanding contributions to the medical field. Most recently, she has been recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of medicine for her role as a Reconstructive Urologist at Chesapeake Urology. Previously, she was also awarded outstanding teacher in Urology at the University of Texas where she served as an assistant professor for six years. She also treated patients at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA for several years. She has also been awarded for her services as a medical volunteer surgeon in Uganda and Peru.
Outside of work, Dr. Tarry enjoys travelling and continuing to share her medical knowledge to those without easy access to high quality healthcare. She is passionate about the importance of acquiring up to date skills and knowledge as well as the ability to show compassion to her patients.
