Dr. Spenard brings over 30 years of expertise in patient safety and experience, quality improvement, culture change, and standardized assessment in post-acute care. A proven leader in long-term care and geriatrics, she directed and led numerous large-scale nationally-driven quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Prior to joining National, Dr. Spenard was Principal and Vice President of Consulting Service at Qualidigm.
She has served as the clinical coordinator to the national Nursing Home Quality Initiative and senior clinician and manager of the data verification project for the MDS. Dr. Spenard conducts national training sessions to providers on the MDS 3.0 manual and post-acute care standardized measurements for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
