BRENHAM, TX, January 19, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cathy Cole is living proof of drive and ambition achieving results. She left Pasadena High School graduating in 1970. During the next few years she traveled and lived all around the world, including in Saudi Arabia, England, Italy and throughout the African continent, before settling back in Texas.
Upon her return to the States, Cathy's first employment was with the Texas A&M University in College Station, as Assistant Director of Honors Scholarships, a role that she remained in for the next three years. It was then that she took the plunge into the world of real estate and went on to define her career as such. She started as a sales associate with John Daugherty Realtors, based in Houston, and learned the trade for the next five years, gaining a wide array of experience across the buying and selling of different properties, as well as management, public speaking and marketing.
With almost twenty years' realty experience under her belt, Cathy ventured out once more in 2013 to go into business for herself, purchasing Heritage Texas Country Properties and acting as President and CEO. She also worked towards a number of accreditations, earning a CRS, CBR and recognition, as well as a designation as a Realtors Land Institute Accredited Land Consultant. Heritage Texas Country Properties specializes in farm and ranch properties and equestrian estates, vacation and residential property, in addition to investment and recreational properties.
Cathy is an active figure in her industry, and as such, enjoys membership and affiliation with numerous professional bodies, including the National Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the South-Central Board of Realtors, the Houston Association of Realtors, and the NAPW. She has also previously been a part of the Professional Standards, Grievance and Arbitration Committees, the Political Involvement Committee and the Land Use Committee with the Texas Association of Realtors. She serves as a member of Education Committee Realtors Land Institute, was chair of the Government Affairs Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for Texas.
Outside of realty, Cathy has volunteered her time and services to other causes. For eight years, she served as the Publicity and Marketing Director for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and since 1987 has been an active member of the Volunteer Services Council for Brenham State School, Director of Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Washington on the Brazos Sundown Social Committee and Director, on the Scott and White Hospital Foundation and past Director of Brenham Heritage Museum.
In her spare time, Cathy enjoys playing golf, going to the beach, gardening, music and theater.
