    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 02, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- An exhibition entitled: José Guadalupe Posada, The Art of Cultural Critique, is now open at Arion Press, March 1, 2020 through April 3, 2020. The exhibition features illustrations of the prolific and popular Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913), known for enduring works such as La Calavera Catrina. The exhibition includes nearly seventy selected works from the Brady Nikas Collection and Posada Art Foundation, including rarely shown original printing plates and historical prints.

There will be a docent tour Thursday, March 5, 2020, 5:30-7:30pm, led by artist/Stanford University Professor Enrique Chagoya and Posada Art Foundation Director Jim Nikas. Interested parties may RSVP at Eventbright.com via Arionpress.com.

In addition, there will be a screening of the award-winning documentary: José Guadalupe Posada: Searching for Posada: ART and Revolutions®, at Arion Press on Thursday, March 18, 2020, 5:30-7:30pm.
