Watauga and Colleyville Chef Point Restaurants Take Added Measures to Protect Diners and Employees
"The safety of our diners and our employees is absolutely paramount to us. --Paula Merrell Nwaze, Co-owner, Chef Point Bar and Restaurant"

FORT WORTH, TX, March 12, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Restaurants, large and small, are looking for ways to do their part in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus. Paula Merrell, co-owner of Chef Point Bar and Restaurant in Watauga and Colleyville TX, has implemented a stricter sanitizing program to prepare for the likely arrival of the virus.

"The safety of our diners and our employees is absolutely paramount to us," said Merrell. "We are taking a proactive and layered approach to do all that we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19."

While Chef Point restaurants have always followed food service best practices, added measures include

• disinfecting menus four times per day
• sanitizing all countertop surfaces and all door handles throughout each shift
• wiping down and disinfecting chairs and tables after each diner
• adding a system to remind employees to wash their hands every hour

"We have an hourly bell to remind our employees to stop and wash their hands extra times throughout their shifts," said Merrell.

In addition, the restaurant is asking patrons to use credit cards, rather than cash, as another preventative measure.
