CHARLESTON, SC, March 12, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joye Law Firm is pleased to offer six $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school students in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year college or university in the fall.
South Carolina high school seniors interested in applying for a scholarship should submit an application, a recent high school transcript, current photo and a creative entry such as an essay, video, infographic, song, poem, etc. addressing the following topic:
South Carolina recently proposed a new version of the S.C. "Hands-Free Act" that would outlaw the use of a phone for almost any reason and increase the fines. Do you believe there are more changes to cell phone laws in your state that should be changed? Do you think the rate of distracted driving accidents would decrease if these laws were different?
As part of the application process, students also nominate a favorite teacher who has provided creative inspiration for a teacher prize.
The deadline to enter the Joye Law scholarship contest is April 1, 2020, so don't delay in submitting an application for one of our 2020 scholarships. You can find an application form and more information about how to apply to the Joye Law Scholarship Program here.
Every year, Joye Law Firm receives scholarship applications from across South Carolina. Our selection committee will select the scholarship recipients based on the creativity of the entry, the students' school activities, community involvement, leadership positions, individual awards, professional pursuits as well as academic performance.
Joye Law plans to publish the six winning creative entries and share them with leaders throughout South Carolina. Each scholarship recipient will be notified at their respective school's year-end awards ceremony. If your school does not have such a ceremony, we will notify the scholarship winners no later than June 30, 2020.
The Joye Law Firm scholarship program has awarded approximately $200,000 to college-bound seniors from across South Carolina.
