DALLAS, TX, April 16, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When it comes to treatments of pain, neuropathy, or other various chronic conditions, many would prefer the least invasive treatment option possible. Dr. Jade Malay, at Apex Physical Medicine, has found success in using various treatments to treat, and in some cases reverse, many different chronic diseases and pains. Dr. Malay performs trigger point injections, regenerative medicine, spinal decompression, and chiropractic care, laser therapy, and medical weight loss. One of the ways she uses these various treatments is to treat neuropathy.
Neuropathy can be caused by many different sources:
Diabetes: up to 50% of those with diabetes eventually develop peripheral neuropathy
Trauma via injuries, falls, car accidents, or repetitive motion
Autoimmune disorders (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis)
Vitamin deficiency (vitamins B and E are necessary for nerve function)
Alcoholism
Certain medications/treatments, such as chemotherapy
Infections such as Lyme disease, shingles, hepatitis C, and Epstein-Barr virus.
Exposure to toxic chemicals
Hereditary disorders
Tumors, malignant or benign
Bone marrow disorders
Kidney or liver disease
Despite the different origins, Dr. Malay can successfully relieve neuropathy symptoms with the use of the aforementioned techniques. The laser therapy and regenerative cellular therapy both offer to reduce inflammation and are used to accelerate the body's natural healing process.
These two client testimonials attest to Dr. Malay's procedures providing relief and comfort:
"The problems I was having with the neuropathy were in my feet. I'm feeling much improved, and I would say close to 50% improved since I first came in. I now have the ability to walk further distances and get proper exercise."
"Craig came in because of severe neuropathy of the feet. He was experiencing symptoms of severe pain, numbness, tingling, and severe burning from the bottoms of the feet to the ends of his toes. After treatment with the high-power laser at Apex Physical Medicine, he has experienced great improvements. He has considerably less pain, he's able to walk his dogs, he's able to wiggle his toes which he hadn't done in a year and a half. He's even able to wear some normal shoes and sleep through the night."
What Do the Studies Say?
A study was conducted to determine the effect of human mesenchymal cells on neuropathic mice. Mesenchymal cells come from the Wharton's jelly in umbilical cords of healthy, consenting mothers. Over the course of 4 days, the neuropathic mice were injected with the regenerative cells. Seven days after the last injection, reductions in pain were observed. Anti-inflammatories were also present. These results led to the conclusion the mesenchymal cellular treatment has great therapeutic potential to relieve pain.
