EAST CLEVELAND, OH, May 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The East Cleveland Growth Association has come to an arrangement with an economic development consulting firm to perform a retail needs study. Goldstone Consulting Group, LLC. has been retained to conduct the research study on behalf of the community.

The East Cleveland Growth Association is a not-for-profit entity that was created to work on developing economic revitalization in East Cleveland. "Our mission is to improve the economic condition in the City," said Sean Ward, CEO. "Like other small communities, East Cleveland has experienced a decades-long shift in the local economy that has not benefited the residents."

Goldstone Consulting Group is a Missouri based site selection and economic development consulting firm. The firm supports the economic development efforts of communities in addition to assisting industry with the selecting of locations for new or expanded business operations.

The retail needs study will be used to aid in the work of attracting new retail development to the community.

"East Cleveland has a rich history," said David Gaines, Managing Director of Goldstone Consulting Group. "The data is an important step in an effort to revitalize the community's economic base."

The work on the retail needs study project will begin in the coming weeks. A survey of the community will be conducted as a portion of the study.

"We want the residents of East Cleveland to provide us with their input," said Ward. "It is important to have the participation of those that live, work and own businesses in East Cleveland."
