"After the Bombing" is an easy read that should please all readers, whether novices or serious historians interested in learning more about the exceptionally difficult period faced by all Yugoslavs during WW II.

During the 1950s and 1960s, academics and experts alike turned to his works in formulating the United States' doctrines of unconventional warfare and counterinsurgency. These works are now preserved at The Hoover Institute at Stanford University.
