DETROIT LAKES, MN, June 22, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Rural Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program (RMCEP), a member of the CareerForce system, is reopening on Monday, June 22nd after being temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
CareerForce offices across RMCEP's service area are able to see customers by appointment only beginning June 22. Walk-ins are still not allowed, but individuals can contact their local RMCEP CareerForce office by phone or email to schedule time to use the Career Lab resources, or to speak with their job counselors. The contact information for each office can be found at the RMCEP website or by calling the Administrative Center at 218-846-7400.
RMCEP leadership has been preparing for reopening and has implemented appropriate safety protocols, including social distancing. "We have made a concerted effort to ensure that we have the supplies necessary and have engineered the solutions to keep our clients, customers and staff safe," said Vicki Leaderbrand, RMCEP Executive Director. "Masks, sanitizers, plexiglass barriers and safety protocols are in place so that we can help you get back into the working world."
RMCEP has received additional, substantial funding from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (@mndeed) to help dislocated workers become employed again. It has many different programs focused on employment and training to help youth through senior citizens gain the jobs they seek. "We are here and ready to make appointments to help get individuals back to work again," said Leaderbrand.
RMCEP exists to assist people, employers and communities to achieve success in meeting their employment goals. Experienced staff provides multiple services to job seekers and employers, whether it's a high school youth learning to navigate the job-seeking system for the first time or the person dislocated from a long time job needing to refresh skills in order to re-enter employment. In addition to an administrative center in Detroit Lakes, RMCEP manages the CareerForce offices in the locations of Alexandria, Bemidji Westridge, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Moorhead, and Wadena.
