GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, July 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), the leading industry association for the blockchain ecosystem, has named Tim Grant, Head of Business at SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), the Swiss-based leading digital asset exchange, to its Board of Directors. The GBBC also welcomes SDX as a GBBC Leadership member. Grant's appointment to the Board of Directors will be ratified at the next meeting of the GBBC's General Assembly in July.
Grant has over twenty years of deep technology and management expertise across institutional capital markets and enterprise blockchain businesses from his time serving in senior positions in financial services, including as CEO of the R3 Lab and Research Centre, Managing Director at UBS O'Connor and UBS Investment Bank and, more recently, as Founder and CEO of DrumG Technologies.
The GBBC has also named Benjamin Nadareski, Global Corporate and Business Development at SDX, to the GBBC's Post-Trade Distributed Ledger (PTDL) Group Organising Committee. Under the aegis of the GBBC, the PTDL Group serves as the rallying point for prominent financial institutions and market infrastructure players whose shared vision of realising the full potential of distributed ledger technologies has brought them together.
The PTDL Group's organising committee is made up of representatives from BTG Pactual, CLS Bank International, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Norton Rose Fulbright, State Street, SDX, and GBBC. PTDL participation is open to regulated financial institutions, buy side, governments, academia, and members of GBBC's Legal and Regulatory Group.
