NEW YORK, NY, August 22, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It has come to my attention that someone has begun using my federally protected mark, Neighborly Notary®. I have reason to believe this began with the establishment of two email accounts, forming a business entity, creating online advertisements and opening social media accounts - all using my mark without my permission, during the COVID-19 pandemic. As you can well imagine, this has been an extraordinarily trying experience especially while our country is self-isolating.
Since 2003, Roberta Arnone has been endearingly referred to as the Neighborly Notary® by delighted customers who have consistently given Neighborly Notary® five-star reviews. Roberta Arnone is a New York Notary Public and New York Attorney. Roberta Arnone is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau as both a New York lawyer and Neighborly Notary®. Despite my painstaking effort to distinguish myself as an attorney and as Neighborly Notary® in advertising, for nearly 20 years, Neighborly Notary® has been synonymous with Roberta Arnone, as they are one in the same.
The only Neighborly Notary® in America is in New York, New York. There currently are no franchisees nor licensees of the Neighborly Notary® brand. Furthermore, Roberta Arnone, owner of the Neighborly Notary® mark, is not commissioned to provide notary services in any other state. The Neighborly Notary® registered service mark was not sold and remains in the exclusive possession of Roberta Arnone.
Be it known that Neighborly Notary® is not liable for nor are any of my insurance carriers accepting any claims originating from or associated with notary, paralegal, real estate closing, quasi-legal or legal services performed by anyone else. Neighborly Notary® makes no warranty of the services provided by any unauthorized user of the Neighborly Notary® brand.
I am working with elected officials, investigators, law enforcement, a national consumer watchdog group and members of the legal community to bring this matter to an abrupt end.
Please be patient with my current online advertising strategy that may appear flippant. It is intended to eclipse this service mark infringement and minimize the damage caused each day this matter continues.
Neighborly Notary®, located in the heart of New York City, has clients all over the world. Throughout the United States of America, Neighborly Notary® works with law firms, financial planners, lenders, entertainers, title companies, adoption agencies, large national corporations, talent agents, high-profile executives, traveling nurses, real estate brokers, surrogate courts, travel agents, television networks, members of the film industry, universities, musical groups, fertility clinics, celebrities, advocacy groups, socialites and private individuals.
Since 2003, Neighborly Notary® has been an American tradition and a New York City legend as the best deal in town. Neighborly Notary® writes blogs to improve notary practices in New York and throughout the country.
Neighborly Notary® is a pet project I began after the September 11th tragedy. It was my way of honoring those whose dreams were cut short. A wake-up call spoken to me by nearly three thousand voices, I turned my structured finance career into community service which has since branched out from notary witness closings to visiting notary services and $2 walk-up notary public services. Each client interaction, large or small, has influenced me and my work. I often boast of the many life milestones I have been a part of for nearly 20 years.
Neighborly Notary®'s unique esthetic has made Neighborly Notary® a brand that people ask for by name.
Anyone who has first-hand information about the infringement of my Neighborly Notary® mark is encouraged to please come forward.
