Carthage Crabs Announces a Joint Venture with Azzure Mar Seafood Products, LLC.

    MARLBORO, NJ, September 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CARTHAGE CRABS ("Company"), a supplier of Mediterranean Blue Swimming Crab and Seafood from Tunisia and Morocco is pleased to announce that it has entered into a joint venture with Azzure Mar Seafood Products, LLC (Azzure).

As per the agreement, Azzure will be exclusively selling Carthage Crabs' Whole Cleaned Crab for the US market. The Blue Swimming Crab, considered by many is a very sweet and tasty crab and, we think, some of the very best in the world. It has a very soft and supple shell that can be cracked and peeled very easily with your hands or teeth. Known as Portunus Pelagicus, the male crabs have a beautiful blue color and comes in various sizes and weights. The two companies, as per this venture is estimated to supply US market with more than 250,000 lbs of whole cleaned crab and to double this quantity in the following year.

With expanding its operations in US with Azzure, we are helping hundreds of local fishermen in Southern Tunisia sell their seafood products to the US market. The companies have been advocating and helping implement sustainable crabbing methods and to develop a market for GUMBO/Cleaned Crab in the US.
