HOUSTON, TX, October 30, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- D. Miller & Associates, PLLC™ is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to our firm. Attorneys Clarence King & Rachal Rojas have joined our team as we continue to fight for our clients.
"We welcome Clarence and Rachal to our family of lawyers," said Darren A. Miller, founder and senior attorney at D. Miller & Associates, PLLC™. "Each brings an impressive knowledge of the law, wrapped in a deep passion for helping people in need. This combination of traits aligns perfectly with the commitment to service we promise our clients."
Clarence King
Clarence King has always been compelled by the desire to help people who could not help themselves. At a young age, he identified the legal profession as one that would enable him to fulfill this desire in a meaningful way. Working toward a career in law, Clarence graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University.
Even as a student, he began channeling his drive to help others by working for Operation Making a Difference (M.A.D.). This court-ordered program gives youth offenders the option to attend after-school instruction in educational and life skills in place of serving a criminal sentence.
Clarence obtained his Master's in Public Administration and his Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He comes to D. Miller & Associates, PLLC™ with experience in the practice of personal injury, mass torts, and criminal law.
He also brings his own philosophy about how to serve clients.
"I think there are two fundamental aspects to serving a client well," Clarence said. "Preparation, of course, is key, but you also have to be an active listener."
Rachal Rojas
Rachal Rojas joins D. Miller & Associates, PLLC™ with experience in pharmaceutical and products liability. She has been involved in numerous complex litigations, representing clients who were injured by negligent makers of a variety of drugs (Pradaxa, Viagara, Vioxx, Trasylol, and Yaz, to name just a few), as well as makers of defective shoulder, knee, and hip devices.
Texas Super Lawyers acknowledged Rachal as a Rising Start twice—in 2014 and 2019—but her brilliance shone long before these acknowledgments.
Rachal worked in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, before she attended law school. It was at the University of Houston Law Center where she discovered her passion for protecting the rights of injured people. Rachal worked with the Office of the Attorney General – Consumer Protection and Public Health Division, the Katrina Help Hotline, the Texas Consumer Complaint Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Her commitment to helping others manifested in hours of pro bono work, for which she was recognized. Rachal graduated with the distinction of Ambassador for the University of Houston Law Center's Pro Bono Volunteer Initiative.
Today, Rachal is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and holds a position on the Board of Directors of The Mexican American Bar Association of Houston.
Her passion for giving does not stop in the courtroom, though. "I also love to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House Houston," Rachal said. "It's important to me to find a way to connect and give to my community outside of work, and Ronald McDonald House is a cause I truly believe in."
