Initially, Mrs. Mock began her career as a legal clerk in the United States Army. Over the course of her career, Ms. Mock has secured an extensive amount of experience in probate, trust, estate, business, and tax law as well as elder law and fiduciary matters.
Before beginning her career as a lawyer, Mrs. Mock attended and graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2000 from the College of William & Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia. Throughout her nineteen-year career, Mrs. Mock has received a plethora of professional appraisals and achievements. She has been named as an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils as well as being named at least seven times to Virginia Business' Legal Elite list. Various other honors and awards include selection in 2007 and 2008 for Virginia Super Lawyers - Rising Stars, recognition in 2013-2020 as a Virginia Super Lawyer, and inclusion in the Coastal Virginia "Top Lawyers" List for 2015, 2018-2020. She is also an accredited attorney for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
In addition to being recognized professionally, Mrs. Mock is also popular with her clients; in 2016 she received the Client Satisfaction Award from the American Institute of Legal Counsel and in 2013 and 2015 she received the Martindale-Hubbell Client Distinction Award.
Mrs. Mock is currently managing attorney at the Peninsula Center for Estate and Lifelong Planning - a broad range, all-inclusive law firm that she founded which specializes in supplying estate, probate, business and elder law legal services to individuals and families. To ensure she stays up to date with changes in the law and continues to expand her legal knowledge, Mrs. Mock is a member of several prestigious organizations such as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Peninsula Estate Planning Council (where she served as president of its board of directors from 2017-2018), the Williamsburg Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and the Clinical Legal Education Association. Mrs. Mock also serves on various local charity boards.
In addition to her duties at the law firm, Mrs. Mock is a regular speaker on subjects related to her areas of expertise, and she was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the College of William & Mary Law School for over fifteen years, where, in addition to teaching, she also served as Director of the Law School's Elder & Disability Law Clinic which she established in 2012. During her tenure at the College of William & Mary Law School, she received the St. George Tucker Adjunct Professor of Law Award in 2014.
