LOS ANGELES, CA, December 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) held the 2020 Gyeonggi Level-up Global IR Challenge (India) for three days, Nov. 18- 20.
Reinforcement of overseas IR capabilities - Virtual investment attraction program was a strategic program to strengthen investment attraction and advancing into overseas markets through IR pitching and business matching targeted towards overseas VCs and buyers. It was also a place to attract investments and enter overseas markets for promising startups and small giants in Korea.
The Virtual Investment Attraction Program was held for three days targeting the VCs and buyers in India. At the event, IR pitching and business matching took place in a virtual environment.
Buyers and VCs from Bangalore and buyers from Mumbai and Delhi were contacted on the first and second days, respectively, to do IR pitching and business matching.
Five companies that participated in the virtual investment attraction program were the finalists selected from 40 applicants on the Demo Day. They had received training and 1:1 mentoring for three months.
They are QSTAG, a manufacturer of smart healthcare diagnostic kits, Hongdangmu, an edutainment content development and platform company, WT&I, an insect protein material research company, Minglecon, a gamification convergence service company, and Luone Corporation, an online flip learning platform for teenagers.
On Nov. 20, the last day of the event, MOU and LOI ceremonies with Indians buyers were held. GBSA Cluster Fostering Team that organized the Virtual Investment Promotion Program said, "This program was an excellent venue to discover new opportunities and capabilities for promising SMEs in Gyeonggi-do to enter the Indian market where startups and ICT industry are receiving spotlights."
GBSA said that entering overseas markets and attracting investment are both the steps to verify competitiveness in overseas markets and the opportunity to reinforce excellence in business. It is planning to help outstanding startups and small giants in Gyeonggi area to show their creativities and innovative businesses in the global ecosystem, and for Korean companies to enter the overseas market successfully, we are going to run more programs like this, and would like more companies to participate.
Foreign investment companies and VCs and the companies that participated in the program were highly satisfied at the 2020 Gyeonggi Level-up Global IR Challenge prepared by GBSA to accelerate the global entry and create opportunities to attract investment.
