ORLANDO, FL, January 11, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Living Skills in the Schools announced today its collaboration with theVideoCards to deliver 500 curated boxes to one Palm Beach County Florida school featuring tabletop video stands for continued education in the fight against substance abuse.
Living Skills in the Schools, a program under the CRC Recovery Foundation Inc., was created to raise awareness on substance abuse prevention for students, families, and school professionals. Through evidence-based learning programs and drug trend education, Living Skills in the Schools has reached over 280,000 students with free programming.
Envisioned by Living Skills in the Schools CEO Dr. Suzanne Spencer and crafted with the help of Brand Strategist Sebastian Kaupert, the tabletop video stands are part of The Family Prevention Box for Substance Abuse Prevention. This innovative project, funded by the Health Council of South East Florida, was created to connect with students at home impacted by social isolation and distance learning. Each tabletop video stand is loaded with up to an hour of virtual presentations on opioid prevention, peer support, and additional access to resources to help families address these sensitive topics with teens.
"While in person learning may look differently this school year, our dedicated prevention efforts remain the same" says Dr. Suzanne Spencer, Ed. D; CEO of Living Skills in the Schools "There are thousands of students who lack access to basic technology. Now, with the help of theVideoCards technology, we have the opportunity to bridge that digital divide and provide easy access to high-quality education surrounding substance abuse prevention."
