ANIL UZUN Will Attend The Opening of A New Gallery on Photography in Adana

    LONDON, ENGLAND, January 16, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- ANIL UZUN is an architect and a photographer. He was born in 1968 in İstanbul. He has been taking photos since 1990 and has been an architect since 1994. He lived in New York, Canada and Austria.

The photography gallery will be one of the few in the southern part of Turkey. The gallery was supposed to open sooner to get the local people to be more interested in art and photography but the lockdown made the owner postpone the opening.

The owner of the gallery stated that pandemic affected art and culture in the most negative way. Since March the art galleries cannot sustain themselves financially. So do the artists. The art gallery in Adana aims to be a safe place for independent artists to show her work and create revenue.

ANIL UZUN says, "Every art piece in the gallery will be a protest to the modern world from the local artists to create them a safe space. The art pieces will be on sale for those who want to help the artists."

The pop-up sale will operate on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis and all proceeds will be donated to the artists in need.

The art gallery will be situated at Ziya Paşa Street, and the opening will be on 10th of February.

ANIL UZUN commented:

"We are going through tough times and the gallery in Adana creates a space for the vulnerable artists to show their work and create revenue. I think we have the obligation to support the artists. Everybody is welcome to the opening to experience art and support their community."
