"I know girl power when I see it, hear it, and feel it. XLB takes it all!" — Jeff Edwards
LOS ANGELES, CA, January 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Like their dumpling namesake, XLB's music and style are surprising, tasty, giggly-good, and addictive. Meet Me in Luò shān jī is the title of XLB's earworm single, an energetic, upbeat Chinese rap with a power chorus that makes you want to singalong (in Mandarin and English) and dance to the new BobaPop sound! BTW, you CAN sing in Mandarin. And it's trending globally. If you can sorta say, Los Angeles (Luò shān jī), then you're six thousand miles closer to speaking Mandarin!
Aizhou, the statuesque half of the XLB duo, offers: "Meet Me is a beat-driven anthem to things that we miss and are longing for while being locked-down at home for almost a year. The meet-ups, the travel, the freedom — this song celebrates that lifestyle that we know will be coming back. We wrote and performed this song all remotely. By beating the lock-down virtually, we're not missing out on what life has to offer! Our music is a reflection of the best of times — creating with friends, sipping bobas, and singing about friendship through thick and thin!"
Su-Ren, the bright redheaded (at least for now) other half of XLB, says: "It's how we feel, when we feel it, because who can control anything else, especially during a global pandemic? It's a shared experience. None of us know what to expect next, so why not celebrate what we have here and now. Thank God for the internet!"
"After years of working with celebrated music composer and orchestrator, Milton Nelson, on multi-award-winning projects, he introduced me to XLB — Aizhou and Su-Ren — the musical dumplings," says Jeff Edwards, producer, arranger, and composer (The Titan Games with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Celebrity Big Brother, Survival: A Japanese Game Show…). "Having written songs for Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, and Julia Roberts, and working for years with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on The Simple Life, I know girl power when I see it, hear it, and feel it. XLB takes it all!" Jeff proclaims. "You've gotta experience XLB for yourselves!"
XLB is fronted by Aizhou and Su-Ren (Blythe Schulte) — performance artists, lifestyle influencers, composers, producers, barrier-shattering multi-racial, multi-linguists, cultural observers, world travelers, pengyou (BFFs), aka Boba Friends Forever. Whatever you try to label them — they are XLB, a U.S.-based creative duo and innovators of a unique East meets West brand of pop music and lifestyle, BobaPop! That's what they've dubbed their signature XLB style.
Learn how you, too, can be bobalicious. Join the XLB celebration. Meanwhile, consume more dumplings! And remember: inside every xiao long bao is a tasty pop of flavor, just like XLB!
