FORT WORTH, TX, February 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ron Sturgeon, the owner of DFW Elite Toy Museum in Fort Worth, started collecting antique clocks 40 years ago. "As I was building my auto salvage business in the 80's and 90's, I started going to a lot of antique auctions and started to collect clocks because I liked the intricate movements," said Sturgeon.

Sturgeon gradually acquired more than 75 rare clocks, including black forest clocks, dog clocks, kitchen clocks, mantle clocks, grandfather clocks, and even a few rare industrial clocks. His entire clock collection will be auctioned on eBay with no reserve over a two-week period.

All the clocks, unless otherwise noted in the auction description, have been cleaned, oiled, and checked for condition and to determine that they are in working order at some point after they were added to the collection. "Most of the clocks have a $50 minimum, as they need to sell, and setting a low starting price attracts interest," says Sturgeon. "Some rarer antique clocks, with values exceeding $5,000, have larger minimum bids," he added.

When records exist of work done on the clocks, pictures of receipts will be included in the descriptions. The clocks have been checked over by a clock repair expert prior to sale to determine condition and working order.

"All the clocks have been checked out, but they are being sold as is, with no reserve, so please ask any questions that you have prior to bidding," said DFW Elite Toy Museum Curator Rodney Ross.

"Although the clocks are beautiful, we are liquidating them because they really do not fit with the direction the toy museum is going and with its current focus on auto memorabilia, model race cars and dog art and dog collectibles," said DFW Elite Toy Museum Curator Rodney Ross.

Admission to the toy museum is free and it is open weekdays from 9-5 pm and on Saturdays by appointment. The museum includes more than 3000 items collected by Fort Worth serial entrepreneur and Fort Worth commercial property developer Ron Sturgeon, who was featured on CNBC's Blue-Collar Millionaire program.

The toy museum includes scale models, rare vintage racecar toys, and one of the rarest Tippco toys ever made, The Eva Braun Mercedes, of which there are fewer than six known to exist. The museum is located at 5940 Eden Drive, Haltom City, TX 76117. The current exhibit features dogs in art, toys, and antiques.
