ST. PAUL, MN, March 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The St. Paul's East Side neighborhoods have a great variety of businesses, providing a destination for food, culture, entertainment, and a great unique shopping experience. These businesses also provide character and individuality to our neighborhoods and the City.
Our neighborhood businesses are also the backbone of our community, promoting a good and sustainable local economy, providing neighborhood-level essential services and employment opportunities.
The COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest events of 2020 drove some of these businesses to the brink of closure. The East Side Area Business Association, in response to this potential crisis, has brought together an emergency planning workgroup made up of local business owners, the St. Paul Police Department, and Munisupport Inc., a crisis management firm. The mission is to unite and empower community businesses with informational resources for protecting life and discouraging, mitigating, or preventing damage to our businesses and community during times of civil unrest.
The East Side Area Business Association with the collaboration of this emergency planning workgroup has put together a website to assist our neighborhoods by centralizing verifiable information to use before, during, and after any events of civil unrest. The website is http://www.stpaulprepared.com and is intended for any business in any neighborhood that many need assistance in their emergency planning process.
East Side Area Business Association wants to remind everyone, the first step in preparing a business for an emergency is information. Our website is a good place to start. Stay Strong, Stay Prepared, St. Paul.
