Alternative Hanging Solutions
Decorative Tape – Also known as washi tape, these come in a variety of colors, patterns, and sizes and can be used for decorating planners, scrapbooking, and adhering light weight paper to walls. This type of tape is perfect for hang posters, prints, and photographs.
Adhesive Hooks – These hooks provide strong holds on walls and can be removed with little to no damage to the walls. Adhesive hooks come in a variety of sizes and styles and can hold anything from artwork or curtain rods.
Adhesive Strips – These strips can be used to hang things flush to the wall without seeing tape. Adhesive tape can be adhered directly to the back of the poster, photograph, or print and then pressed to the wall.
Poster Putty – Putty adheres to many different surfaces and can be used to hand posters, prints, photographs, and ever frames. However, putty can dry out, and colored putty can stain walls.
Hook and Loop Fasteners – This option is almost like Velcro as they come in two pieces. One side stick to the wall and the other side sticks to the thing needing to be hung.
Get Creative with Furniture Placement – The final option, if sticking things to the walls is not an option, is to lean framed artwork against walls, set it on top of furniture. Bookshelves and ladders can also come in use when trying to showcase artwork.
