BELLINGHAM, WA, April 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Parent Coaching Institute (PCI) is pleased to announce the addition of two new instructors to its team. Emily Mathon and Cheryl Hersh, both PCI Certified Parent Coaches®, have begun their six-month instructor training, preparing to begin teaching in the Fall 2021.
Ms. Mathon, from Virginia, brings a broad range of educational experiences to her role as a PCI instructor. Her career path includes an undergraduate education at Vassar College, a year of service in AmeriCorps, a Master's of Science in Teaching Science at Portland State University, and twenty years of experience working with young adults in high school and young children in early childhood settings. Ms. Mathon's personal coaching business is Empathy Parenting.
Ms. Hersh, from Texas, has helped shape the lives of hundreds through her role as a teacher and school administrator. Prior to starting her coaching business, Hersh Parent Coaching, Ms Hersh worked as a teacher and middle-school principal at Los Angeles' Pressman Academy, then shepherded Austin Jewish Academy as its Head of School for seven years. With a Bachelor of Science in Education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas, as well as a Master of Arts in Education and an MBA from the American Jewish University, she brings a reservoir of educational acumen to her role of PCI instructor.

PCI is in partnership with Southern New Hampshire University that provides optional 6 graduate level credits for each course of the Parent Coach Certification® Training Program for a total of 24 credits. Applications are now being accepted for 2021 Fall (September) Start for PCI's one-year, distance-learning parent coach training program. The application deadline is August 13, 2021.
