Dr. Pamela Gurley Announces Atlanta Book Launch Party And Reading For New Children's Series, Brown Girl and Brown Boy

    LOS ANGELES, CA, June 01, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Pamela Gurley will host a book release party for the kids of Atlanta to launch her new children's series, Brown Girl and Brown Boy. The launch party will be opening to the public on June 12, 2021 and held at The E Loft Event Space in Atlanta, GA. General admission will begin at 2:00pm for anyone who purchases a ticket to the event. A red carpet will welcome attendees and gift bags will be provided for those who purchase a copy of her books. Morgen Peters, Dr. Gurley's protégé, will be the reading of her first two installments, Brown Girl Be Social and Brown Boy Be Social to introduce party guests to the dynamic duo of her series. Both books will be available for purchase online on June 3, 2021.

The Brown Girl and Brown Boy series will address some of the greatest challenges children are facing today. Part of the collection includes three special edition books that highlight black and brown children with down syndrome, autism, and other physical disabilities. Centrally focusing on representational childhood literacy, the goal of the series is to teach kids social skills, confidence, self-worth, and body positivity.

Dr. Pamela Gurley is a retired United States Army Veteran, who holds a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Health Service Administration, and a Doctorate degree in Management. As the CEO and founder of numerous companies that focus on unapologetic living and advocacy for others, Dr. Gurley has a notable past in providing motivation and empowerment through her creative writings, speaking engagements, and media platforms. As a woman of color, Dr. Gurley also believes in the importance of representation, which is a significant element in the Brown Girl and Brown Boy series. "Representation is not just about color.
