"Say you're just 'good friends' with her... Well my new friend is a better kisser."
MASSAPEQUA, NY, July 30, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rising singer-songwriter Brooke Elardo has rewritten the classic "Please, Mr. Postman," originally sung by the Marvelettes and remade by The Beatles, to be reflective of today's society. With clever lyrics and a catchy beat, this song is bound to catch the attention of millions. Watch the official music video "Please, Mr. Postmate" HERE.
About the song, Brooke said, "I wanted to flip the narrative on this old time classic that everybody knows and loves. In the original version, a woman is waiting for a letter from her lover day after day that never seems to come. I wanted to create a version of this song that would be more relevant to the world we live in today while also completely flipping the script."
"Please, Mr. Postmate" follows a woman who is awaiting her boyfriend to come home after a long day of work to enjoy dinner with her (which she got delivered to her house via Postmate delivery service.) Upon finding out that he has been cheating on her through a text she wasn't meant to receive, she decides to invite the delivery guy inside to eat with her instead.
Recently, Brooke released "Plenty of You" and "Romeo" off her upcoming album, which both gained attention from the media. "Plenty of You" was aired on Radio Music Vault's radio station and "Romeo" was picked up by a talent scout and shared on PIX11 News television series, "RightThisMinute."
