Health and Wellness Coach and Former Miss Georgia Fitness DeBlair Tate Featured in Latest NowThis HerStories Series

    ATLANTA, GA, August 06, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Growing up in Winona, MS, a town infamous for the arrest and beating of Civil Rights Activist Fannie Lou Hamer, Fitness & Wellness Coach DeBlair Tate had no concept of racism or segregation. To her, this was simply everyday life in a small town in Mississippi. It wouldn't be until she managed to leave the normalcy of her city to realize the life she recognized as "normal" life for all people was, in actuality, very different.

In the recent release of NowThis HerStories, DeBlair shares information surrounding the many rewards of her military life, including becoming Senior Master Seargent and First Seargent of the Quarter in 2020. She also shares her life outside of the military that brought even greater rewards, including launching her athleisure line 8Figured.

Born and raised in rural Mississippi, life for DeBlair was something that most assumed was left in the past before protests, civil rights amendments, and laws made changes surrounding segregation, but that wasn't the case. In fact, up until 2008, the city of Charleston, Mississippi, had never had a racially integrated prom, and the town would have preferred to keep it that way.

It was these life-altering realities that would set Deblair on a course to learn more about herself and the world by leaving home, entering college, and then the military.
