Shannon Ahern joins Wai Acupuncture & Integrated Chinese Medicine As Acupuncture Physician Intern

    ORLANDO, FL, August 27, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Since the establishment of Wai Acupuncture in Longwood, we have successfully spread the news of holistic medicine to our communities with a high focus on the usage of Neuroscience Acupuncture and Frequency Specific Microcurrents (FSM). This system has successfully helped many people with chronic pain syndrome as Neuroscience Acupuncture and FSM brings back the homeostasis in our bodies. Since we adopted this new form of treatment, words-of-mouth has spread in the community and to accommodate the rising amount of new clients, we have expanded our clinic space in March of 2021.

Holistic health works with how the human body functions on many of its interdependent parts. If one part of body is not working properly, the whole body cannot work in harmony with each other. If there are imbalances in our bodies, whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual, the resulting imbalance can harm our overall health.

We have also welcomed an additional member to our team, and we are very pleased to announce that Shannon Ahern has joined us as Acupuncture Physician Intern at Wai Acupuncture & Integrated Chinese Medicine LLC in Longwood Florida.

Shannon has graduated from Florida College of Integrative Chinese Medicine in Orlando Florida, and Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. She has successfully completed the rigorous curriculum of a dual degree in a BA/MA in Psychology with specialty in Substance Abuse Counseling. After working in the Psychology Field, Shannon followed her personal desire to bring a positive impact to her patients' healing journey and decided to continue her education at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine where she received a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine. Shannon's passion for holistic and integrative medicine has empowered her patients to take back control of their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing through science-supported holistic treatment plans. Shannon also hopes to integrate her wisdom of mental health with Chinese medicine together to further help the community heal from stress and anxiety. Along with her expertise in mental health knowledge, she specializes in treating chronic pain such as fibromyalgia, chronic inflammation, and post-surgery nerve damages.

Shannon's professional credentials include Certified Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy; Master in Arts in General Psychology with concentration in Substance Using Counseling; OASAS trained with completion of certified training program for Alcoholism and Substance, and New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. She has also attained certifications in Opiates and Addiction Medications as well as performs Motivational Interviewing in a Chemical Dependency Treatment Setting.
