Dr. Fredrick Jacobs Drives the Spirit of National Black Business Month in August and Throughout the Year

Celebrating and lifting up Black-owned enterprises

OCALA, FL, August 27, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- August is National Black Business Month and many are looking to lift up and recognize Black entrepreneurs who are contributing to the growth of the economy while inspiring diversity and inclusion in our communities. Dr. Fredrick Jacobs (Dr. J, The Counselor) sits in an interesting position as an African American businessman, but also a man who makes a living to lift up others. He is a man of many hats from entrepreneur to pastor to broadcast personality to celebrity chef to counselor and more. Dr. J and his wife, Taja Jacobs, co-founded and spearhead Celebrity's Soul Food®, the country's fastest-growing soul food chain.

In September, Celebrity's Soul Food will be celebrating the grand opening of their flagship franchisee restaurant in Ocala, FL. The quality casual concept takes an innovative and modern approach to the cuisine, while offering up celebrity status service. The brand has aggressive plans for expanding their presence throughout North America with a 200-store rollout in the next few years.

Under the leadership of Dr. J, Celebrity's is making history as the first national soul food chain, while offering opportunities for others to grow and become fellow business owners.

"As we celebrate National Black Business Month, we're helping drive attention to individuals who are making an impact in our national economy, but the strides we've made over the course of the past year dealing with the ongoing pandemic, speak to a greater initiative that extends beyond just one month. Supporting Black and Brown-owned businesses helps empower these entrepreneurs and lays down a solid foundation for our communities to grow stronger together," said Dr. Fredrick Jacobs, Co-Founder and CEO of Celebrity's Soul Food. "I grew up watching both of my parents seek out ways to improve their lives during a time when it was not common and actually quite difficult for African Americans to succeed. They were determined and did what was necessary to better their circumstances, pursue the careers they wanted, and even become entrepreneurs. If my parents had the same support that we see developing today for Black business owners, I can only imagine how much further they could have taken themselves. I'm excited to see how our nation can grow even more with this momentum and shared spirit."
