    ROCKVILLE, MD, September 16, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Team Precise, comprised of Precise Software Solutions, Inc., ENSESO, and Verinetics is named by FDA as a winner in the FDA New Era of Smarter Food Supply Low- or No-Cost Tech Enabled Traceability Challenge on September 13, 2021. The challenge encouraged technology providers, public health advocates, entrepreneurs, and innovators from all disciplines and around the world, to develop food traceability hardware, software, or data analytics platforms that are low-cost or no-cost to the end user.

FDA's New Era of Smarter Food Safety initiative strives to work with stakeholders to explore low-cost or no-cost options so that the approaches are inclusive of and viable for human and animal food operations of all sizes. Democratizing the benefits of digitizing data will allow the entire food system to move more rapidly towards digital traceability systems. To help advance the widespread, consistent implementation of traceability systems across the food industry, FDA believes that innovative solutions will tap into new technologies and integrate data streams that are affordable to a spectrum of companies across the entire food supply chain. The challenge ran from June 1, 2021 – July 30, 2021. FDA received 90 submissions from 14 countries with evaluation carried out by a panel of judges from the federal government—both internal and external to FDA—with experience in the fields of technology, public health, and/or the food industry.
