Auntie & Unc is a bit of a manifesto. A declarative statement of two black people who have loved and worked together for two decades. We are OG's in this Black Love conversation.
NEW YORK, NY, September 16, 2021 -- Earlier this year, Kindred The Family Soul released their long awaited, 7TH Studio Album "AUNTIE & UNC" which debuted #1 on Amazon's R&B Charts and hit the top 5 on Spotify.
Kindreds first single is, "The Best Things" produced by hitmaker, Vidal Davis. Their soulful vocals showcase a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry. The song took on a beautiful life of its own, racking up hundreds of thousands of views on social media.
The duo's second single, "Break It Down," accompanied by it's music video, is the theme music for an Unbreakable Black Love and Roller Skating, as the track took off during Kindreds multi-city "Skate Night" promo events. They didn't stop the magic there, they hosted several online concert and a "Backyard BBQ Live Concert". Fans enjoyed the chance to get outside and experience nostalgia, family fun, friends and live performances, special guests and one-on-one interaction with the couple; it's just what was needed.
Next, "Rejoice, Renew, Repair." At the height of racial tensions, political warfare, the centuries long fight for equality and justice for people of color, this track hit the mark. The lyrics start off powerful, prideful and bold, "We ran your riots down and we're Still Around! You've tried everything you could to put us in the ground." - Aja

About KINDRED
Kindred The Family Soul, simply referred to as Kindred are the multi-talented, married duo, Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon, who epitomize the essence of black love, career longevity and consistency.
The duo met in 1997, married in 1998, started a family and managed to start a group simultaneously. They began their journey performing in Philadelphia at a small local club called, The Five Spot at an event called The Black Lily. Then they met Steve McKeever, the president of Hidden Beach Recordings. They were signed and haven't looked back. What they didn't know was they were a part of what would become one of the most loved genres and eras of music, the "NeoSoul" era. The Neo-Soul movement was a dynamic force of new sounds, rhythms, feelings, appearances, it was a new vibe and it spawned a multitude of artists who went on to be very successful like Bilal, Jill Scott, Floetry, Musiq SoulChild, Ledisi and a few others.
Kindred the Family Soul has 7 Albums to date and still making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love & joy to all those that hear it. For two decades the movement has only expanded and grown.
