NATCHEZ, MS, October 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In Natchez, MS., 2021, marks the 300th anniversary of what many consider the very first documented account of a Bigfoot encounter in North America. You only turn 300 years old once, so when you do, in Natchez, they CELEBRATE BIG! On November 4th-6th, 2021, begins the first annual Bigfoot Birthday Bash! This event features several days of family-friendly activities. Local radio/tv personalities, Brandon McCranie and Jimmy Allgood have plans that include music, food, celebrities, and experts on the subject. They've partnered with Mayor Dan Gibson, their Board of Aldermen, the tourism committee, and several state officials for this annual event. General admission is free. However, tickets are available, for the VIP Meet & Greet, BBQ Contest, 5k Race & Walk, 1Mile Fun Run, and Lecture Series. The event will be broadcasted LIVE worldwide. The Bigfoot Lecture Series will feature Canadian filmmaker and researcher, Todd Standing. Standing is the director of the documentary, "Discovering Bigfoot" and was featured on Les Stroud's "Survivor Man" TV show. Other speakers include scientist and professor, Dr. Jeff Meldrum, and researcher, MK Davis.
American Idol Top-Twenty, Hannah Everhart, along with musicians, YZ Ealey, Casey Gilbert, Gabriel Bass & friends, Ben Lewis, Alvin Youngblood Hart & Papa Mali, and Scratch will take the stage throughout the day, Saturday, November 6, 2021.
Special Guests & Exhibitors include TikTok sensation, Hillbilly Red, Ashley "Dead Eye" Jones from "Swamp People", John Bullard and Brad Cooney, creators of the paranormal documentary, "The House In Between", Jimmie D. Nichols, Jr., from the Snake Grabbing Rodeo, and Chief Hutke Fields of the Natchez Nation.
Part of the proceeds benefit Home with Heroes & the kidney transplant of Todd & Mark Welch (a son donating a kidney to his dad). Home with Heroes is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to bringing veterans and active-duty military together and into the outdoors, to honor and thank them for their service.
