2021 International Light Convergence EXPO Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and LED Industry Forum and organized by the Korea Commission for Corporate partnership, and was held as new exhibition platform as on-off hybrid at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan for three days from October 13th (Wed) to 15th (Fri).

2021 Int'l Light Convergence EXPO is expected to gain high popularity among participants and buyers by operating an online exhibition hall to effectively marketing support between buyer and participating companies, which are difficult to visit due to the fourth COVID-19 pandemic and prolonged social distancing.

This online exhibition introduced was not a one-time business event, but provides regular business services based on various events and promotions. In particular, they plan to actively support domestic companies to enter overseas market through cooperation with international exhibitions by establishing a network with related overseas exhibitions.

The biggest challenge for this year's exhibition was quality improvement so differentiated business programs are conducted for buyers with high purchasing power, such as purchase conference between large corporations and public institutions, and export consultations for overseas buyers without country restrictions. In particular, major buyers are expected to visit LG Display, Samsung Display, Samsung Engineering, and Hanwha E&C.

In this year's Lighting pavilion, they introduced global issues technologies related to quality of life and health, such as bio-lighting and smart lighting. Also, in the DISPLAY-SIGNAGE exhibition hall mainly exhibited the cutting-edge technologies such as transparent displays and artificial intelligence kiosks. In the new light convergence technology exhibition hall exhibited the convergence technologies as optical sensor security technology, vehicle electronics, sterilization and quarantine, plant growth, and healthcare.

Major companies such as LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, and Wonwoo ENG participated in the 'International Light Convergence O2O Expo' which was organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the LED Industry Forum and was managed by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership. The International Light Convergence Expo Government Award will be jointly held which includes the highest honorable awards, the Presidential Award.
