Give Your Loved Ones an Award for their Character!

    CHICAGO, IL, November 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Starting November 17th, 2021 and running through December 31st, Play for Peace will be hosting a virtual fundraising event, AppreciatiON, to recognize everyday people who exemplify Play for Peace values with a variety of awards. All funds will support Play for Peace programming in recruiting, training, and mentoring young leaders to become champions of compassion in the United States and over 50 areas of conflict around the world. Play for Peace has been providing youth leadership, peace education and community support in global conflict zones (22+ countries) since 1998.

The initiative will offer people the opportunity to give awards to their family, friends and colleagues as a part of the AppreciatiON Campaign (my.playforpeace.org/appreciation2021). Play for Peace believes that celebrating positive qualities in the people around us supports the expansion of peace in our communities so we invite you to join our AppreciatiON Campaign.

These Appreciation Campaign awards go to people who embody Play for Peace values like compassion, courage, care, inspiration, generosity, bridge building and more. Everyday people will get to experience the joy of giving a relative the Generosity of Heart Award and giving a friend the Models of Courage Award and giving a colleague the Compassionate Leader Award. All of the selected awardees receive an award certificate, an acknowledgment in our campaign communications, and inclusion in our awards ceremony. Free Appreciation Activity and Event Guides are also available for teachers, managers, and parents through the Appreciation Campaign website. These guides provide instructions for offering appreciation activities and events to students, employees and children.

100% of funds raised support facilitating workshops that encourage sharing compassion, appreciation, and gratitude among youth in conflict zones around the world. Play for Peace is empowering local youth leaders to bring play, laughter and joy to their communities, enhancing peace and connection.

The Mission of Play for Peace is to bring together children, youth, and organizations in communities affected by conflict, using cooperative play to create laughter, compassion, and peace. We work in over 50 conflict zones globally.

Through Play for Peace, children, youth, adults, and organizations around the world have a platform to come together and create powerful, meaningful interactions. These individuals are transformed into architects and leaders of peace, and with the support of our global facilitators and ongoing learning opportunities, can unify their communities.
