The event was organized for "strengthening of startups' global competitiveness" and "establishing of mutually beneficial cooperation model for startups, middle market enterprises and large companies".
The event took place on Zoom platform to prevent COVID-19 infection. It was opened to all startups which are keen to make success at global market and build desirable cooperation model among businesses.
The virtually held event was kicked-off with the opening ceremony, which was followed by keynote lectures, a "talk concert" with three speakers and presentations of model startup case.
The keynote lectures were addressed by a touchpad keyboard maker Innopresso CEO Cho, Eun-hyung, Kakao Ventures Director Jang, Won-yeol and Born-to-Global Center Director Jang, Seok-jin. The speakers shared their insights for startups' successful global business.
The "talk concert" covered ways for businesses to work and grow together. Three speakers of the session candidly discussed why the mutually beneficial cooperation among startups, middle market enterprises and large companies became important and issues that startups face in entering the global market.
The presentations session was addressed by two model startups in Pangyo city which were selected in advance. The two startups presented their innovative items and know-hows for success.
Xinova Asia Chairman Kim, Yong-sung said, "GBSA's huge support enabled this event to take place." He added, "I hope there would be more opportunities where Pangyo city and startups would gather with the theme of entering global market and cooperate for mutually beneficial outcomes."
Pangyo Technovalley is an innovation hub for global companies comparable to the Silicon Valley in the US, Zhongguancun in China, and STATION F in France. It is an Asia tech hub with 1,259 IT, BT, CT, and NT companies that possess innovative products and technologies. Various high-tech companies are located in Pangyo Technovalley, and it is occupied by 64,000 full-time employees, many in their 20-30s. In terms of industry, the companies are engaged in information technology, contents technology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.
With the support of innovative companies with global capabilities such as Kakao, Naver, AhnLab, Krafton, NCSoft, Nexon, and Hancom, companies in Pangyo Technovalley recorded 107 trillion won in sales last year. Investment and infrastructure growth in Pangyo is expected to continue, with the Metaverse hub entering Pangyo this year.
