It's become a photo op must-see and must-do for couples whenever they visit.
FORT WORTH, TX, March 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It's been a tradition maintained around the world for over a hundred years. A couple seals their love with a kiss, then locks a padlock at the site to commemorate their unbreakable bond. It was a heartfelt act of deep sentiment first initiated in Serbia. The difference today? Couples seal their love with a kiss, a padlock – and a selfie.
So it should come as no surprise that the Fort Worth Design District, with its sprawling 40 acres of commercial spaces offering the best value for your leasing dollar, also had the vision to create the largest outdoor art gallery in Texas. And to be featuring in their art walk – as a permanent feature – a Love Locks site for lovers.
"It's sweet as sweet can be," Jennifer Knittel says winsomely. She's Administrator for the Fort Worth Design District. "We've had our Love Locks site for a while now. It's going stronger than ever. It's become a photo op must-see and must-do for couples whenever they visit."
Of course, with its Texas-style size, the District is a kind of city unto itself, an enclave made for creative entrepreneurs in fashion, design, architecture – you name it – home to retail shops, studios, showrooms, office suites.
"It's a haven for makers, distributors, manufacturers – doers," says Jennifer proudly.
But there's a place for art on display too, hence the popular Snap and Share Art Walk, boasting shipping-container-sized murals whipped up out of the imaginations and the spray cans of some of the country's leading graffiti artists. And for when couples reach the Lovers Lock in the midst of the Art Walk – "bring your padlock," smiles Jennifer.
"In case you're starting to feel like you're wandering through Disney World without a map, the Lovers Lock at the Snap and Share Art Walk is smack dab in the Golden Triangle Business Park.
Pack a lunch, bring a significant other. Are you going to be snapping pictures? I'd say it's pretty much a lock."
Fort Worth Design District is located at 1953 Golden Heights Road in Fort Worth, Texas. Obviously romance-friendly, we're also dog-friendly, with our Golden Triangle Dog Park situated adjacent to the Golden Triangle Business Park, with a section for small dogs and another for big dogs. Who knows? It could be love.
