SEOUL, KOREA, December 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace organization associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, was founded with the goal of establishing global peace and cessation of war. Led by Mr. Man Hee Lee, HWPL is carrying out its peace movement around the globe, working with leaders of different countries who are cooperating as the HWPL Peace Advisory Council, and experts from all walks of life are active as HWPL Publicity Ambassadors.

The essential objectives of HWPL are manifested in the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) drafted by the HWPL International Law Peace Committee. The Committee is comprised of prominent international law experts from 15 different countries, who proclaimed on March 14, 2016 in the form of a Preamble, the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW. Since its inception, two African countries have adopted the DPCW as their national declaration. Further, leaders of the islands of the South Pacific signed a comprehensive agreement supporting the DPCW, and the Central American Congress (PARLACEN- the Latin American regional parliamentary body) passed a resolution supporting the DPCW. Caribbean countries have also joined the ranks.

On February 19, 2019, the '2019 Sydney Pacific Peace Leaders Summit' was held at the Parliament House of New South Wales, Australia. The Vice Ministers in attendance signed the 'HWPL-South Pacific Comprehensive Agreement' in which 12 high-level leaders from 8 countries in the Pacific asserted their cooperation for the development of the DPCW. It also included contents such as actively cooperating and participating in all processes for the DPCW to be proposed and passed by the UN in order to develop it into a legally binding form, and to express support for the DPCW in the form of documents including national declarations.

On June 26, 2017, the DPCW resolution was passed with the approval of 120 lawmakers at the Central American Congress Headquarters. The contents of the DPCW were approved by all five countries that make up the Central American Congress (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Dominican Republic). The Central American Congress stated, "We support the international law of the HWPL and declare to ratify the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War in the Global Village."

On August 10, 2018 during the African Leaders Peace Summit, President Danny Faure of Seychelles and King Mswati III of Eswatini signed the "Statement of Solidarity for the Promotion of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War in the Global Village" and adopted Article 10, Paragraph 38 of the DPCW as a national declaration. The two countries emphasized, "We will make efforts to promote the 'Global Cessation of War Peace Declaration' to adopt the DPCW as a declaration of peace."

In February of 2019, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Antigua and Barbuda Government adopted Article 10, Paragraph 38 of the DPCW as a political manifesto. Prime Minister Gaston Brown said, "To all nations that love peace and prosperity to move toward a world free from the threat of war, Antigua and Barbuda will work with all allies to achieve the common goal of ending war and peace."

In the same year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a country in the Caribbean, also adopted Article 10, Paragraph 38 of the DPCW as a political manifesto. Foreign Minister Lewis Straker signed the official document. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, recognizing the need for solidarity of regional and international cooperation for the interests and common development of the Caribbean countries, joined the DPCW support, saying that it would work to achieve the common purpose of establishing peace.

Finally, on April 2, 2019 at the 'Forum for Peaceful Reunification on the Korean Peninsula' in Bucharest, former presidents of five Eastern European countries, European and Asian peace activists, representatives of human rights groups, and journalists gathered to discuss international support and cooperation for the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula. At the closing of the conference, those gathered promised international support for the 'Declaration of Peace on the Cessation of War (DPCW)' to be passed as a UN resolution and even sent a sincere letter of support to Chairman Lee.

These are just a few of the achievements accomplished by HWPL through the DPCW, which is working to cease war and establish peace all around the world. As the DPCW awaits careful review by the UN, HWPL continues to work to establish partnerships and alliances with various world leaders so that peace can begin on a grassroots, community-based scale and eventually spread across the globe through the participation of leaders and citizens alike.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace organization, was founded for global peace and cessation of war. Also, it is a non-governmental organization in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Counsel (ECOSOC) and associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

With the mission to achieve global peace through the heavenly culture and restore the world with light, HWPL is carrying out its peace movement around the globe, working with its partner, the International Women's Peace Group (IWPG), and its affiliate organization, the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG). Moreover, leaders of different countries are cooperating as the HWPL Peace Advisory Council, and experts from all walks of life are active as HWPL Publicity Ambassadors.

HWPL's peace movement will leave for future generations the greatest legacy - life instead of death and permanent peace instead of endless wars.
