Mrs. Minnesota Earth, Wendi Russo, to Compete at Mrs. USA Earth in January 2022

    ORLANDO, FL, December 30, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Mrs. USA Earth pageant's mission is to provide a platform for America's women to be a voice for environmental responsibility. The official charity for Mrs. USA Earth is Beauties for a Cause, B4ACUSA, a 501c3, and this year's Fundraiser is dedicated to Wildlife Preservation. The Mrs. USA Earth pageant is scheduled for January 5th - 8th at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL.

Mrs. Minnesota Earth, Wendi Russo is an Eden Prairie resident who promotes Sustainable Fashion with her "Sustainable Style" video series interviewing fashion designers who use sustainable fabrics, natural dyes, and upcycled fabrics. As an Advocate for the non profit, Soles4Souls, Wendi has collected nearly 1000 pairs of shoes from local residents, to be delivered to communities in need.

The Beauties for a Cause Grant award finalist, Mrs. Minnesota, is being considered for a scholarship towards the Great River Greening project, a non-profit Wendi has worked alongside helping to plant over 10,000 pollinators along the Mississippi River with local families and corporate partners. Helping to educate children about taking care of the earth and its pollinators, Wendi created "Earth Heroes", a program offered to the Boys and Girls Clubs and Girl Scouts.

Wendi has been a Wish Granter and a Speaker for Make-A-Wish Minnesota for 8 years and is now conducting interviews with families via Zoom because of covid- currently working on a wish for Shane, a child who is wheelchair bound, non verbal, has Cerebral Palsy and seizures whose parents are wishing for a 3 season porch for their son to be able to spend time outside but shaded. Wendi stated that "More Wish Granters are needed across the country to help interview families and help make a child's wish come true!"
