"The loss of two innocent young lives, so full and vibrant, is a tragedy."
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, January 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As a personal injury law firm, the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine has helped many clients suffering in the aftermath of a serious car accident. In many cases, the accident was caused by a drunk or impaired driver. To help promote safe driving practices and reduce the number of drivers who drink while behind the wheel, the firm established its Students Against Drinking and Driving Scholarship.
This year, Hannah Pless is the winner of the $2,500 award. A third-year student at the University of Georgia, Pless is studying Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She's also involved in two important studies as an undergraduate assistant with the Motivation and Behavioral Lab (MABLab): the Dual Couple Smoking Study and Psycorona (the largest pandemic study in the world).
Pless wrote about her experience growing up next to a young boy who would later drive drunk and kill two men in their twenties. As Pless writes, "The loss of two innocent young lives, so full and vibrant, is a tragedy."
Along with many of her peers, Pless has taken a pledge never to drive after having even a single alcoholic beverage. Still, she notes that "one in eight Americans meet the criteria for alcohol addiction," and over a quarter of people over the age of 18 admitted to binge-drinking in the past month.
As Hannah Pless goes on to obtain her degree, the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine are sure that she will continue to set a great example and stand firm against drinking and driving.
