/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, April 11, 2005 ~ Meet Canadian mystery author Cheryl Kaye Tardif at the Edmonton Woman's Show on April 16th and 17th, 2005, at the Northlands AgriCom in Edmonton, and meet actor Josh Duhamel from the hit TV show "Las Vegas" who will be the special guest at the event.
Josh Duhamel, best known for his role as 'Danny McCoy' in the NBC smash hit "Las Vegas", works alongside veteran actor James Caan ("Misery", Mickey Blue Eyes" and "The Yards") and other actors such as Vanessa Marcil, Nikki Cox, James Lesure, Molly Sims, and Marsha Thomason. Duhamel also starred as Tad Hamilton in "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!" a hilarious comedy romance co-starring Kate Bosworth, Topher Grace, Nathan Lane and Sean Hayes.
Duhamel has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The View and more. In 2004 he was on People (USA) magazine's '50 Most Beautiful' list. He was recently named Cosmopolitan's '2005 Fun Fearless Male of the Year'.
The Edmonton Woman's Show is expecting a large turnout, if nothing else but for the chance to meet the divine Josh Duhamel. Sorry ladies, you can't win a date with him, but you can meet him and then pick up an autographed copy of Divine Intervention, the scorching psychic suspense by award-winning Canadian mystery author Cheryl Kaye Tardif.
Divine Intervention is Tardif's latest novel, and the first in a new suspense series featuring 'Jasi McLellan' and her team of psychic CFBI agents. In Divine Intervention the team hunts down a serial arsonist who leaves behind a blazing trail of corpses in British Columbia. Divine Intervention has received rave reviews and has been compared to J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts' 'In Death' series. Reviewers have called it "WONDERFUL! Riveting, with imagery almost agonizingly clear" and "a genuinely Canadian crime novel [that] will leave you smoldering—and dying for more."
Tardif will also be signing copies of her debut novel, Whale Song, an emotional mystery about a young girl who loses her memory after a tragic event takes away everything and everyone she loves. Whale Song has captured the interest of an executive film producer who recently read the novel and requested a script version. Tardif is now busy converting Whale Song into a screenplay and finishing her third novel, The River. The River is an action-packed techno-thriller loosely based on a legend of headless corpses found along the shores of the Nahanni River in Canada's Northwest Territories.
A BC-born Edmonton author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif has appeared on CFRN TV, Global TV, A-Channel TV, CJSR radio, New Age Radio (Illinois, USA) and she has been featured in various magazines and newspapers such as The Edmonton Examiner, Edmonton Woman Magazine, Alberta Native News and California Chronicle. She is the creator of A.F.T.E.R. ~ Authors For Tragic Event Relief, which originally was formed as a result of the earthquakes and tsunamis in Asia. Tardif organized a 12-author fundraising event this past February and created a website: http://www.aftercanada.com. Tardif was also nominated recently for the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Award.
