How Trails Carolina Is Working to Protect Their Staff and Students From Covid-19

Their COVID-19 prevention plan helps protect the students and staff from the pandemic. Team members have access to the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters as they continue to heed the advice of healthcare professionals. Trails Carolina features over 800 acres of privately accessed land across three campus locations.

Being outdoors is one of the main advantages of their therapeutic wilderness program, as students breathe fresh air and experience the wonders of mother nature. They also have limited contact with fellow students and a handful of staff at Trails.

Being in an outdoor program helps mitigate the risks of contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus during the pandemic.

They continue to follow CDC guidelines for the prevention of Coronavirus. Social distancing is also applicable as part of the proactive measures to stop the spread during the pandemic.

All staff members have been trained to identify COVID-19's potential symptoms. Similarly, their medical personnel monitor daily updates from the CDC, WHO, and state and local health departments. As a result, Trails Carolina takes a comprehensive and cohesive approach to protect its students' and teams' physical and mental health.

Trails Carolina offers an intricate screening process for admissions. Students should be symptom-free before enrollment. Trails Carolina tries to identify anyone posing a risk or showing flu-like or COVID-19 symptoms.

Students enrolling are expected to arrive with a negative PCR Covid test. Regardless of their vaccination statuses. Follow-up tests will still be conducted after five days of their arrival.
