DUBAI, UAE, January 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Whiteshield Partners, a global strategy and public policy firm, announced the winners of their 2021 Global Public Policy Competition, launched to further explore the potential of the young generation to address climate change and accelerate the recruitment of global talents.
During the competition held recently, diverse teams of students from premier institutes, joined virtually and presented proposals on ways to address climate change to the expert panel.
The panel comprised Fadi Farra, Founder and Partner of Whiteshield Partners and members of the Senior Leadership team who selected the winners from the invited participants from leading universities such as Harvard Kennedy School, London School of Economics, HEC Paris, Stanford University, Cambridge University, Bocconi University, and ESADE.
Farra remarked: "I am proud of all the participants who have put tremendous effort and commitment to develop solutions which policy makers can consider in addressing climate change. The thought-provoking presentations that addressed the climate crisis also reflected the commitment of their institutions towards tackling the global climate crisis. We consider the Global Public Policy Competition as an essential step to enriching the innovative potential literacy to combat climate change while identifying global talents."
Farra added: "All the participants showcased immense potential, and the content and delivery of the proposals were exemplary. The amount of passion and rigor which went into the preparation of each proposal was evident in all of the presentations."
The students from ESADE took home first place for their presentation on 'Climate Finance Restructure Proposal COP 27'. The proposal "Blending for Nature," submitted by students from Bocconi University won second position.
The team from HEC Paris for their presentation on 'Designing a new Global Policy Initiative to tackle Climate Change', and a joint team from École Polytechnique and HEC Paris, for 'The Dawn of Carbon Capture and Sequestration' secured the third position. Meanwhile, Climate Club won the Judges Special Mention award.
