MILANO, ITALY, February 03, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Weddings should not be seen as a "static" event, but rather as a dynamic one that changes through time, especially in this period when the coronavirus has changed many habits. In any case, they're not like a Ready - to - wear outfit that needs to be replaced every year; the foundations of excellent taste, hospitality, and attention to detail should always be there. Here are the major trends that we have seen in our couples wish lists, as well as in the views of wedding planners, influencers, and publications.
Green and zero km events
At least for weddings, the "Greta Thunberg effect" was felt. Increasing numbers of couples are concerned about the environment, guaranteeing that the eco-friendly wedding trend will continue to rise in popularity. The question is: how can we put our concern for the environment into action? Rather of using fresh flowers plucked from the ground, use locally grown flowers in pots instead (even better). When it comes to food, choose for organic and local raw ingredients (at "zero kilometers..." or close to it). Handmade jams and invites printed on recyclable paper are popular alternatives to traditional wedding presents. What about the tunes, by the way? Class D Amplification, for example, allows for power levels in the thousands (!) of watts with just a small fraction of the energy used by a light bulb. And despite the "excellent" impact, the colorful lights on the dance floor is happy with roughly twenty watts. An benefit for the environment and for the... electrical system, which does not risk leaping with these modest consumptions since the absorption is enhanced so much.
Late afternoon receptions and "Long Weddings"
Evening festivities, which were formerly uncommon in Italy, are on the rise, and this upward trend is expected to continue until the year 2022. In order to create a more intimate and enchanting ambiance (for dinner) as well as a more exciting dance floor, the correct lighting is needed.
Because the fact that not all venues allow celebration until 3 a.m., couples are increasingly opting to "stretch" their wedding celebrations across many days. For those hosting visitors from other countries, it may be a chance to have an adventurous weekend!
Nature-loving orientation
For the last two years, the couples have been forced to use the "outside" option because of fears about Covid, and it seems that... they've developed a taste for it. More and more couples are choosing to have their whole wedding outside, including the ceremony and the dancing. Obviously, there are numerous benefits to this strategy, but there are also some drawbacks. As an example, it's always a good idea to have a "Plan B" in case the weather turns against you (or at least, in the shelter of a suitable decor without being cramped in the rooms as in a can of sardines). In many cases, this is neglected. If the event is held outdoors, we can still provide you with the right soundtrack using appropriate audio systems. However, keep in mind that due to the large dispersion of sound outside, you will need to use highly strong amplifying equipment, which "sounds wonderful," of course.
Fully customized day
It's possible that lockdowns have given couples more time to think about how to make their wedding special, but it's obvious that there has been an increase in demands for personalization to touch every area of the event. Customers, according to the top wedding planners, generally need a distinct idea from start to end, executed in a contemporary, exciting, and vibrant manner. It's very uncommon for them to draw inspiration from movies and fairy tales, but they also include their own ideas. On a musical level, we've observed this trend: focusing on music that is sought after and popular in order to "personalize" your day. Because the wedding party is a "choral" occasion and the preferences and expectations of the guests should never be neglected, we obviously attempt to assist couples like this by relying on our musical expertise.
Big Weddings
For the last two years, or almost two years, my ability to engage in social activities has been severely constrained. Having returned from years of small and personal weddings, we were compelled to "thin down" the guest lists, which was a necessary but unpleasant side effect of the process. Many couples have indicated a wish to have large weddings because the virus is (hopefully) about to come out and social life is slowly returning to normal. To back up this prediction for the year 2022, wedding guest lists are once again growing in size and often surpass 150 individuals (which, especially for destination weddings in Italy, the business we work on, is a considerable number). Big weddings are not associated with "big fanfare weddings," and the trend is increasingly toward extremely polished "casual" weddings, where formality are pushed aside for more relaxed gatherings and young; notably "tailor-made" weddings.
