Zia Consulting Partners with UiPath to Create a Suite of Activities that Automate ECM Repositories

    BOULDER, CO, February 11, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Zia Consulting, Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) business solutions, today announced the availability of the UiPath Marketplace ECM Connector—a suite of activities that allow users to import and export specified documents to and from a connected repository. Users can also add custom properties to documents that are imported from local files or pre-existing documents stored in a repository. Customers can now search for documents using a standard SQLite format and perform operations on the set of documents. Future enhancements are expected to include the ability to update existing documents.

Zia Consulting created this suite of activities to interact with content repositories. The package includes a Repository Scope—a container scope activity for ECM repository-focused activities—as well as the ability to: (1) create properties that are applied to imported documents, (2) discover and configure the taxonomy of the repository, (3) export specified documents from the repository, (4) save the taxonomy and exported documents to a standardized format, (5) create and import documents to the repository, and (6) search the repository for specific information.

This is done using Robotic Process Automation (RPA), which allows computer software to mimic actions typically performed by humans interacting with digital systems to execute business processes. The use of RPA frees up employees to focus on higher-value tasks, such as spending more time serving customers, solving complex issues, and managing others. Rules-based processes also reduce mundane tasks like doing paperwork and managing emails.
