Newark, New Jersey-born and raised rapper/singer/songwriter Kenya Amir began rapping after his cousin showed him how to record himself on a computer. From there it was love at first sound and ever since, he has been perfecting his craft. Inspired by artists such as Nas, Lil Wayne, and T-Pain, he grasped the concept of lyricism. Kenya made his debut in 2019 by delivering the heartfelt single, "Papaya." "Papaya" excelled and climbed its way to the Top 100 on the Independence Charts.
