"By being prepared and seeing your facility through the eyes of a surveyor you can have survey success."
PORTLAND, OR, February 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Whitman Partners, a surgical services search firm, has launched a new webinar series, "10 to 1," hosted by Kathy Beydler, Principal Consultant.
The format will be in a countdown style, highlighting a top 10 list of the most critical takeaways on a featured topic relevant to surgical services. Topics will include nurse burnout, mentoring, KPIs, and surveys for hospitals and surgery centers.
In the first episode, "10 Steps to Survey Survival," Beydler and Josiah Whitman, CEO of Whitman Partners, move through her top 10 list on how to prepare for a hospital survey, leading to the number one survival tip.
Beydler, a surveyor herself, has been a staff nurse, educator, manager, director (permanent and interim), and administrator for large and small surgery centers and hospitals. She wrote The Survey Survival Guide: Pocket Guide to Survey Success, which contains valuable information on what hospital and surgery center surveyors focus on during surveys.
"Accreditation surveys often cause fear and sleepless nights for staff and leadership, but it does not have to be that way," Beydler says. "By being prepared and seeing your facility through the eyes of a surveyor you can have survey success."
For episode 2, "10 to 1: 10 Tips on Managing Staff Burnout," Beydler will interview colleague Dr. Margaret Below, perioperative director, mind-body medicine practitioner, and healthcare consultant.
In addition, viewing these webinars will earn nurses 1.0 contact hour of continuing education (CE). Whitman Partners is a CE provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
