McMinn County Economic Development Agency Launches Website that Helps them Stand Out

    ATHENS, TN, February 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- McMinn County Economic Development Agency recently launched a newly designed website, created by Golden Shovel Agency, to further strengthen its online presence and economic growth for the region. The website is user-friendly, includes more infographics, and presents all the data that web visitors could be looking for.

"Our main goal was to create a more cohesive website," said Lindsey Ferguson, Executive Director at McMinn County Economic Development Authority. "We are working to create brand awareness and I feel like this website helps capture the brand aesthetically while still providing useful data. We wanted to cut down on the text-only portion of our website and liven it up with some infographics that draw your attention. And our new site does just that."

The website effectively speaks to site selectors. The McMinn team was conscious in the design of the website to include a "Site Selection" tab. Previously, the information was spread across multiple pages. Now, it is a one-stop-shop and anyone interested in the community can easily access the needed information without jumping from page to page looking for it.

In addition to the target site selection efforts, McMinn County Economic Development also wanted the website to stand out and be different. In the past, it shared the same layout as other communities, so it was hard to set themselves apart. Now, the organization is changing that.
